10 Dieting Tips That You Need To Know

Here are my top dieting tips that will help you lose weight and keep it off.

You must start by changing the way you think about food and the habits that you have formed regarding eating. You must realise that you cannot eat junk food and lose body fat. You must make the commitment in your mind before you start to eat like a thin person.

You need to eat like a thin person and that means you must become a grazer, so you should eat 5 or 6 smaller meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism revved up.

Are you hungry? If yes then have something to eat, if not then don't eat until you are. Don't just put food in your mouth, you must think before you eat as this will save you lots of extra calories in the long run.

I feel hungry or am i. Your brain receives a signal when you are hungry and it also receives a signal when you are thirsty but the problem lies in the fact that these signals are almost identical. So how do you know which signal is which? Well you don't so the best way to find out is if you feel hungry then drink a glass of water and then wait for a short time and see if you still have a feeling of hunger, if you do then eat.

Only eat natural foods, these include fruit and vegetables, lean meat and fish, wholegrains such as brown rice or wholewheat pasta, pulses such as lentils, nuts and seeds. Eating a balanced diet including these food groups will provide your body with all the nutrients it needs and it will stop your blood sugar spiking.

I'm afraid sugar is a big no no, don't eat refined sugar as found in sweets and cookies as this will cause your blood sugar to rise sharply. To compensate your body will release insulin to bring your blood sugar back to normal which as a result will store the excess sugar from your blood as fat and you will feel hungry soon after.

Beware of hidden sugars any foods that contain processed white flour like pasta and white bread will act the same way in your body as if you had eaten sweets or cookies. Many healthy branded products still contain white flour like brown bread which is just white flour dyed brown. So check the label and make sure it says wholegrain flour.

Exercise is essential for weight loss, so find something that you like to do which involves moving about. If you like to do it then you are more likely to keep doing it.

Burn the fat off by gaining muscle, the more muscle your body has the higher your metabolism will be and the more calories you will burn whilst sitting on the couch. Get lifting some weights regularly and start burning that unwanted fat.

Preparation prevents piss poor performance- always carry a healthy snack with you just in case you get hungry when you are out of the house. Keep a diary of what you eat each day and weigh yourself once a week.
